Zero Tolerance Policy

In accordance with the Hon’ble Supreme Court directions and AICTE Regulations, ragging is strictly banned inside the Institute campus and Hostels. Any violation will lead to exemplary and harsh punishment.

What Constitutes Ragging

Rudeness & Teasing Conduct that has the effect of treating or handling a fresher with rudeness.
Physical/Psychological Harm Undisciplined activities causing annoyance, hardship, or fear.
Financial Extortion Forceful expenditure burden put on a fresher or any other student.
Academic Disruption Actions that prevent, disrupt, or disturb regular academic activity.
Exploitation Using a fresher for completing academic tasks or personal services.
Physical/Sexual Abuse All variants including obscene acts, gestures, or bodily harm.

Punishments & Actions

One or a combination of the following may be applied:

  1. Cancellation of admission
  2. Suspension from attending classes
  3. Withholding scholarship/fellowship and other benefits
  4. Debarring from appearing in tests/examinations
  5. Debarring from appearing in Campus Interviews
  6. Rustication from the institution for 1 to 4 semesters
  7. Expulsion from the institution and debarring from other institutions

* Every single incident will result in an FIR filed with local police without exception.

Monitoring Mechanism

The institute maintains a strict vigil through two dedicated bodies:

2. Anti-Ragging Squad

Maintains close vigil on hostels and vulnerable spots, conducting surprise raids at any time.
