About the Department
Overview & vision of Electronics & Telecom Engineering
Electronics Engineering is an engineering discipline which utilizes non-linear and active electrical components — such as semiconductor devices, especially transistors, diodes and integrated circuits — to design electronic circuits, devices, Microprocessors / Microcontrollers and systems including VHDL Modelling for Programmable Logic Devices and FPGAs. The discipline also designs passive electrical components, usually based on printed circuit boards.
The field covers subfields such as analog electronics, digital electronics, consumer electronics, embedded systems and power electronics — dealing with implementation of applications, principles and algorithms developed within solid-state physics, radio engineering, telecommunications, control systems, signal processing, computer engineering, instrumentation engineering, electric power control, robotics, and many others.
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is one of the most important and influential organizations for electronics engineers globally, setting standards that our curriculum is aligned with.

The Electronics & Telecom Engineering department is committed to delivering quality technical education aligned with industry needs. Our curriculum spans analog & digital electronics, microprocessors, communication systems, embedded systems and VLSI design.
Our well-equipped laboratories and experienced faculty ensure that students gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical skills. We encourage students to participate in technical competitions, industry visits and projects to build a strong professional foundation.
After completing the diploma, students have excellent opportunities in the telecom sector, electronics manufacturing, and can pursue lateral entry into B.Tech programs through JEXPO.

Eligibility Criteria
- Passed Class X (Madhyamik or equivalent)
- Minimum 35% marks in Science & Mathematics
- Admission via JEXPO merit rank
- Age: minimum 14 years at time of admission
