The Computer Science & Technology Department at Contai Polytechnic offers a 3-year Diploma in Computer Science & Technology under the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE). The department is committed to imparting quality technical education and training students in the latest computing technologies.
The department is well equipped with modern computer laboratories, high-speed internet connectivity, and up-to-date software for practical learning. The department follows AICTE norms and is enriched with highly qualified faculty members and technical staff.
Regular industrial visits, workshops, and seminars are organized to keep students updated with industry trends. Personal attention is given to each student through a tutor-guardian relationship. After completing the diploma
Diploma holders can directly enter 2nd year B.Tech (CSE/IT) through JELET in West Bengal — skipping 1st year entirely.
Eligible for SSC Junior Engineer (IT), Railway Group C/D (IT), WBPSC, and various state PSU IT posts.
Register under NAPS portal or directly with IT companies for paid apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship Act.
